London, 27 September 2007 - Orange Business Services today launches Secure My Device - PC Edition (SMD), a service for customers wanting to ramp up security for both fixed and mobile network services in an easy and affordable way. Orange is the first UK network provider to enable and support a fleet management web portal as part of its security suite which is an extra benefit to customers that manage licenses and security profiles remotely.

Orange has teamed up with F-Secure, a world leading business and consumer security service provider, to develop SMD, designed specifically with SME business users in mind. It provides enhanced network security without the need for extra server space or expensive IT overheads and has the added advantage of F-Secure's track record for some of the fastest response rates to threats amongst all security providers. SMD is hosted by Orange which gives users the peace of mind that the service and security will be monitored and maintained 24/7.

Market insight shows that IT security issues are still dramatically increasing every year, both in the home and at work with over 25 per cent of computers in the UK infected by spy-ware in 2006 and 90 per cent of people receiving spam on a regular and even daily basis.
