GUILLEMOTS JOIN BUSTA RHYMES FOR ORANGE ROCKCORPS VOLUNTEER SUPERGIG

Guillemots, the second of five acts to be announced, will join Grammy Award-winner Busta Rhymes for an exclusive money-can't-buy gig at the Royal Albert Hall organised by Orange RockCorps, the unique music-led volunteering programme.

The Orange RockCorps gig takes place on 26th September at the Royal Albert Hall. With its cross genre line up it is set to be an electric evening that will be televised on Channel 4. Tickets to the gig will not go on sale. In a bold departure from the norm, fans can't buy their ticket, they can't win their ticket, they have to earn their ticket by taking part in a four hour Orange RockCorps community project.

RockCorps, a pro social music production company, has partnered with Orange to harness the power of music to inspire a new generation of young people to make a real difference in their local community.

Orange RockCorps will organise 60 volunteer projects across the UK before 26th September in collaboration with charities, including Crisis, The Prince's Trust, Young Timebank, and Hoxton Hall. All volunteers are encouraged to strike up a long-term relationship with these charities, without the lure of a gig ticket. RockCorps will also be completing projects in Manchester, Newcastle, Cardiff and Southampton for the Royal Albert Hall show, and will be organising concerts in other cities across the UK during 2009 and 2010

Guillemots the four piece of Fyfe Dangerfield, Magrao, Aristazabal Hawkes and Greig Stewart will bring their magical, innovative sound to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall. The band who released the critically acclaimed album ‘Red' this year will also be visiting one of the projects in the run up to the gig. Dirty Pretty Things frontman Carl Barat, Charlatans rocker Tim Burgess, and T4 presenter Nick Grimshaw have already taken part in Orange RockCorps projects.

RockCorps has been running in the US for four years, collaborating with artists including Kanye West, Kelis, Panic at the Disco, Nas, Korn, and Nelly. More than 35,000 young people have participated in projects that have benefited their local communities, and over 35% of those participants have volunteered again within 12 months.

Orange RockCorps powered by Sony Ericsson and Channel 4, will be working with XFM, and Choice with online support from Impact UK, MySpace's channel for charities, non-profits and community organisations to campaign and enable the community to make a difference
