ORANGE APPOINTS FALLON TO CREATE NEXT 'GOLD SPOTS'

13 August, 2008, London — Fallon London has been tasked with creating the new series of cinema commercials for Orange's 'Gold Spot' cinema package valued at £10m per year.

The shift from Mother to Fallon is intended to bring the popular cinema ads more in line with the new brand vision of Together We Can Do More and latest brand campaign, created by Fallon, that broke on July 5th of this year.

Following the final two adverts from Mother to be shown in the remainder 2008, Fallon will create four commercials to hit the screens in February, 2009. The campaign, originally conceived to urge people to switch their phones off whilst in the cinema, will see the successful concept evolve whilst retaining some of the well loved and respected key characters.

Justin Billingsley, Brand Director Orange UK commented: “The Orange ‘Gold Spot' has been an enormous success and has consolidated our position as the number one brand associated with film in the UK. The success should be largely atttributed to the wonderfully creative work from Mother which helped us establish such entertaining award winning material.

He continued, “We will be refreshing the ads to reflect Orange's global brand vision of Together We Can Do More, but we hope to build on the success of the Orange Film Board and continue the ad's tongue in cheek humour to delight cinema viewers throughout the UK.”
