Orange launches UK’s most affordable Microsoft Mail data bundles for businesses

  • Additional offer gives three months’ MS Mail for free

Orange has reduced the cost of its Microsoft Mail data bundle by more than 30%, to just £4.25 per month for 500MB of data1 – making it the most affordable Microsoft add-on bundle on the UK market for any sized business. Orange business customers with larger device fleets will also benefit from the reduced cost of Orange Device Management, which allows IT managers to control devices remotely, and is now just £7.50 per month, representing a 16% price reduction.

With the launch of these highly competitive offers, Orange hopes to ease the pressure on British businesses by enabling them to boost the productivity and responsiveness of their employees when out of the office or travelling.

“In this challenging climate, Orange is committed to helping businesses adopt flexible working practices and get the most out of their mobile workforce. With access to more affordable rates than ever, and the largest integrated data network coverage in the UK, Orange business customers now have even more freedom to work where and when they want,” said Paul Tollet, Vice President Business, Orange UK.

In a separate deal, Orange is offering free Microsoft Mail, or Microsoft Mail with Device Management, for 3 months to medium-sized business customers who select the HTC Touch™ 3G, Touch HD™ or S740 handsets before the end of June2. Corporate business customers can take advantage of the same offer, with the additional choice of Nokia E71 or E51 handsets.

Microsoft Mail is a push email service that works through a customer’s existing Microsoft email server by linking up with a compatible mobile device. The intuitive service is easy for employees to use as it has the same interface as their email programme in the office. It enables employees to send and receive email in real time, manage their in-box, open attachments, synchronise outlook contacts and calendar entries, and manage their outlook task lists – all while out of the office.

Customers using Windows Mobile devices can also mobilise other Microsoft applications and services including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Communicator – all without having to purchase additional server software or licenses.

Orange’s Device Management can save businesses significant time and money as it allows IT managers to remotely control and manage their device fleet through a web interface. They can change individual user settings, amend security profiles, add or delete applications, and identify and fix technical issues, without the employee or device needing to be in the office.

All Orange HTC mobile devices - including the recently released HTC Touch™ 3G - operate with Microsoft Mail. Orange’s Nokia handsets, including the E71 and E51, also run Microsoft Mail.
